When the pandemic started at the beginning of 2020 and classes transitioned to online, I had a lot of free time which allowed me to more deeply pursue activities that I enjoyed. I was always interested in rapid prototyping and manufacturing procedures, and, after having read much about at-home 3D print farms, I decided to purchase my first printer - a Creality Ender 3 V2. It allowed me to cheaply and reliably produce my own aviation knick-knacks that would be sold at my family's flight school. To improve it's efficiency, it has been attached to a Raspberrypi 3B+ and runs on Octoprint so that it can be remotely controlled from any device on my home network.Â
